After more than thirty
years working in corporate
environments, I retired to
write novels, something I
had been thinking about
doing my whole career.
I've published five books
since then with another one in the works. I made
many mistakes when I started writing, and I hope to
help others avoid the same ones by keeping this
website full of practical writing advice.
I grew up in an old Victorian home in northern
Illinois, complete with a coach house, the same
house I used as the setting for my first two books. I
currently reside in downtown Chicago (with my
19-year-old cat Miska) where I enjoy all the things
this great city has to offer and (of course) reading
