I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

After more than thirty years working in corporate America, I retired to write books--something I had been thinking and dreaming about for many years.
My first novel, "The Coach House," was released in 2012, and I am happy to say it is getting mostly five-star reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. Says book reviewer, Mary Crocco, "The Coach House is a superbly written book, in my opinion. It will leave the reader thinking about relationships, adversity, independence and growth, and prejudices. It’s always nice to finish a good book with something to think about."
Here’s my elevator speech:
"The Coach House" is the story of Marie, a young woman who struggles with her newfound ethnicity and flees Chicago for Kansas in 1948 after discovering her husband dealing with dangerous underworld men only to find itʾs the identity of her real father and his ethnicity that unexpectedly changes her life more than Richard ever could.
My second novel, "Daughters," is a sequel to the first one. This book, too, is getting mostly five-star reviews on Amazon. In this book, Marie faces her ethnicity head-on and starts a new life, her greatest inspiration coming from an unlikely source.
There's a third novel in the works, "Mystic Coins." From an early age, Lee Winekoop makes disasterous attempts to keep up with his notably successful family members, and when he finally does triumph, he has a difficult time convincing them the meaning of his success.

I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I've enjoyed writing them.
Before I started writing books, I never gave much thought to writing a book review on Amazon, even if that's where I purchased the book. Who cared what I thought? Now that I’m an author, I’m here to tell you those reader reviews are very important for future sales and rankings within Amazon.
So if you like an author's book, please take a few minutes to write a review. It doesn’t have to be very long--just a few well-thought-out sentences can make a world of difference for a book’s success.
Wherever you are in your writing project(s), I wish you much success!
